What happens when a student wants to cancel a lesson

Students shouldn't cancel lessons with less than 24 hours notice. If a student cancels a lesson with more than 24 hours notice, the tutor will cancel the lesson on the Portal. The lesson won't be subtracted from the students remaining credit allowance.

• If a student provides less than 24 hours notice of cancelling, they will lose their lesson credit and it will be removed from their allowance.
• If a student requests to move a lesson to a different date/time, this is considered a lesson cancellation and subject to the same rules.
• If a student fails to attend a booked lesson, this is considered a lesson cancellation and subject to the same rules.

A lesson is only booked when a student has approved the lesson on the Portal. If a student hasn't confirmed a lesson within 24 hours of the scheduled start time and cancel the lesson, it is considered a valid cancellation.
