What are Flex hours?

Flex packages and Flex hours for Lanterna

Flex packages are only available for Lanterna Education, not Elite IB. These are packages where the hours are not tied to a particular subject and can be used by any tutor a student is linked with. For example, a tutor (John) who is linked with a student (Carl) for Economics, can use credits Carl has bought for Economics, or credits in Carl’s Flex credits, in order to make a booking.

Students and families may want to buy Flex hours to take advantage of the discounts of buying credits in bulk offers, in addition to being able to allocate Flex hours to individual subjects at a later date.

You can view how many Flex hours you have remaining from any Flex package you bought on the "My Packages" page of the Portal.

If you want to use your Flex hours for a subject where you currently don't have a tutor, please contact us as soon as possible and let us know which subject you need support in, so that we can match you with an appropriate tutor.
