What is an IB Examiner (Specialist) tutor?

An "IB Examiner" tutor is what we call a Specialist — they are the same thing. A Specialist is an experienced IB Teacher who also has IB examiner or senior-marker experience.

Because they have actually marked IB assessments, Specialists know exactly how marks are awarded against each criterion — where students gain marks, where they lose them, and what separates a 5 from a 7. They can coach exam technique from the marker's side of the desk, which is especially valuable for final exam preparation, mock exams and demanding written work.

To keep things clear and consistent, we use one term for this type of tutor throughout: Specialists.
