Can I change my tier as an EIB tutor?

N.B. This information relates to EIB tutors only.

We review tutors' tiers every year in the summer and before the start of the new academic year.

When a tutor's tier increases, so does the cost of their support. If a tutor's tier changes, we always ask their existing students if they're happy to proceed with their tutor at their new, higher rate, or offer them a new tutor at their existing tutor's original hourly fee. Because of this, we avoid moving tutors between tiers during the academic year as much as possible so as not to disrupt student's tuition.

As a result, we're unlikely to accept requests from tutors to move tier during the academic year unless there's good reason or the tutor isn't supporting any students currently.

If you want to change your tutoring tier, you should contact us at tuition@eliteib.co.uk, explaining what you think qualifies you to be moved into a higher tier - although you should make sure you have comparable experience to the tutors in the tier you request to move into. The final decision on tutor tiers is EIB's.

Remember, we uniformly propose a selection of tutors to families when they approach us for support. That means, for some tutors, they are more competitive and able to attract more students by remaining at a lower tier.

Tutors can request to move down a tier at any time.
