Background checks and compliance

Lanterna may require:

  • criminal background checks
  • references
  • training completion
  • employer approval or conflict declarations in some cases

 

If something is pending (for example a check in Zinc or local equivalent), keep Lanterna updated promptly.

 

In-person requests

If a school asks for in-person attendance for tasks that were expected to be online:

  • do not assume this is already approved
  • do not commit on cost / logistics without Lanterna confirmation
  • explain the request to Lanterna, including dates, hours and purpose

 

HR / culture concerns

If you have a concern about conduct, culture or treatment:

  • write down the facts
  • send them to Lanterna
  • avoid turning the issue into an informal dispute with the school before Lanterna is aware

 

Best practice

Anything that touches safeguarding, compliance, legal checks, travel, or HR should be treated as a Lanterna-managed issue rather than a teacher-managed workaround.
