School Support | Payment status: when you are paid and what to check?
School Support pay runs monthly. Check Hive first, make sure your bank details are correct, and only escalate once you have checked the relevant month and assignment.
Short answer
School Support pay is normally run once per month after month-end close. In practice, many teachers receive payment around the 7th of the month, although exact timing can vary slightly by region and banking arrangements.
What this means in practice
You are generally being paid for work completed in the previous month. If something was not logged correctly in time, it may fall into the next pay cycle.
You may also see more than one payslip source if you do both tutoring and School Support work, but the actual bank payment is often received as a single bank transfer.
Before you ask about payment status, check these four things
- Are you looking at a School Support assignment? If yes, start in Hive.
- Is the relevant month closed? If not, the payment may not yet have been processed.
- Were all required hours visible / logged correctly? This matters especially for non-teaching hours.
- Are your bank details up to date? Your bank account details and country setup need to be correct, especially where tax/payroll treatment differs by region.
What to do first
Check Hive → Finances and confirm:
- the correct assignment
- the correct month
- whether the expected amount is showing
- whether any non-teaching hours were missed
When to email Finance
Email finance@lanterna.com if:
- the relevant month has closed
- your hours look correct
- your bank details are correct
- and the payment still looks wrong or missing
Please include:
- the assignment name
- the month in question
- what you expected to be paid
- what you can currently see in Hive
Important boundary
Do not use your CSM as the first stop for routine payment-status chasing. If the issue is genuinely a payment issue, Finance is the right route after you have checked Hive.
