School Support | Payslips, invoices and bank details

Find School Support payslips and invoice information in Hive. Keep your bank details current and check the right month before escalating.

Short answer

For School Support work, your payslip / invoice visibility should be in Hive, typically under Finances.

What you should expect

  • You may see School Support payment information separately from tutoring payment information. As a rule of thumb, school support finances are found on Hive, tutoring is found on the portal(s).
  • Payslip / invoice visibility may appear after month-end processing rather than immediately after a lesson.
  • If you have completed an assignment that has now ended, final payment may still follow the normal monthly cycle.

What to check in Hive

Go to Hive → Finances and look for:

  • the relevant month
  • the relevant assignment
  • the amount shown
  • whether any manual items (especially non-teaching hours) are missing

Bank details

It is your responsibility to keep your bank details current and correctly aligned with your country of residence / setup. This matters because payroll treatment may differ depending on whether you are being handled through UK payroll or as a contractor. You can update this information either on the Portal or on Hive, as these two data sets are the same.

If the hours and the payment do not match

Before escalating, ask:

  • were all live lessons actually delivered?
  • were any lessons moved, cancelled or missed?
  • were non-teaching hours logged correctly and on time (ie in the month they took place, and prior to your contract date ending)?
  • are you comparing the School Support payslip with the correct assignment?

When to contact Lanterna

Contact Finance if:

  • the month is complete
  • the assignment is the right one
  • your details are correct
  • and the amount still does not reconcile

If your question is actually about what should count as paid, read the article on what is paid, what is included, and when approval is needed.
