What counts as an urgent concern

Examples include concerns about:

  • student welfare
  • inappropriate conduct
  • serious policy breaches
  • a situation involving a parent, school, staff member or student that may create a safeguarding risk

 

What to do

  • email schools@lanterna.com
  • make it clear that it is urgent
  • provide the facts as clearly as possible
  • follow the safeguarding policy and onboarding guidance you have been given

 

Why urgency matters

Safeguarding is an area where over-escalation is generally safer than under-escalation.
