Getting started with Lanterna tuition

Lanterna's one-to-one online tuition is designed for students who want to lift a specific subject, stay motivated, or build a strong path towards their dream university. Every tutor is an IB specialist, and we match you personally, so the support fits your goals from day one.

Getting started is simple, and takes three steps:

1. Choose your package

Browse our packages on the prices & packages — they start from just 3 hours and scale up to full-curriculum support across every subject, with pricing from £58/hour (the per-hour rate falls as the package grows). One credit equals one hour of live tutoring.

2. We match you to a tutor

Once you've purchased, the rest is up to us. We search our network of vetted IB tutors to find the right fit for your subject, level and goals. This normally takes 24–48 hours.

3. Meet your tutor and start

Your tutor will email you to introduce themselves, understand where you are, and agree a plan. Your lessons are then booked through your Portal and held online over a video call — such as Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams — that you and your tutor arrange together. Your tutor shares the joining link before each lesson.
